"Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your treatment"Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. Treatment may or may not be initiated at that time depending upon your particular set of circumstances such as medical status, specific diagnosis of the tooth, etc., which would then require another appointment for initiation of treatment.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.
A pre-operative consultation and physical examination is mandatory for patients undergoing oral sedation or IV anesthesia. Please have nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to your treatment. You will also need an adult to drive you home.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)
If your dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office.
Additional x-rays will most likely be taken at our office. This ensures that treatment is done according to the most recent information available for each tooth. In addition, our advanced digital radiographic program allows us to lighten, darken, measure root lengths, magnify, etc. the x-ray images when they are taken with our system. This added information is invaluable to our diagnostic and treatment process.
